School Nutrition Plus and TRES propaganda

Another day, another store launch.

As an impressionable young lad posting up in the lunchroom cafeteria with my $1.15, I developed an unhealthy obsession for tater tots that still stalks me today. If only School Nutrition Plus existed back then I might not have those late night joneses for that deliciously crisp and fluffy golden brown temptress.

Emily Burson, dietitian and founder of SNP, along with her army of chefs, are trying to get the next generation to stop pounding chocolate covered sugar bombs and start stuffing their food holes with healthy and tasty alternatives. SNP understands a steady diet of Count Chocula and Skittles is not the way to nurse our schools and our ever-increasing population of obese youth back to health. Check out their site to bone-up (you heard) on nutritional education and wellness programs.

The California Charter School Conference happened last week and the SNP crew was there handing out their swag. I still have my abacus they gave away at the Mensa conference last year... Anyway, Emily had an idea to hand out shirts with a simple reminder for everyone: Eat more greens. She enlisted TRES propaganda to help spread the word, and develop some Ts. Along with all the nutritional info you could ever devour (sorry) you can purchase these new Ts at  www.schoolnutritonplus.com.

So eat more greens and save those tots for a special occasion.
